THINKING
OF OUR TROOPS In the days and weeks ahead, American fighting men and women will be placing their lives at risk so that the threat of Saddam Hussein and his evil regime will be eliminated. For decades, Saddam has used murder, torture and repression to terrorize the entire region, especially his own people. His rogue government has destabilized the Middle East and threatened world peace. Reasonable people, both within and outside of the labor movement, have differed on the issues surrounding this conflict. Yet now that the battle for the liberation of Iraq has bugun, we must close ranks, rally behind our troops- thousands of them Teamster reservists- and reassure them of our support and prayers for a swift and safe return. May God Bless all our troops during their battle for peace and stability in the Middle East
